This initiative was started in 2016 by two Google employees (Anna Vainer and Anna Zapesochini) after they realised that women and other under-represented groups often struggle with self-promotion. They did some research and discovered a vast body of literature that backed up what they knew intuitively. They created the #IamRemarkable movement to raise awareness of everything they’d learned and help participants feel more comfortable when it came to self-promotion.

Empowering women and underrepresented groups
to speak openly about
their accomplishments
in the workplace and beyond.

Today, #IAmRemarkable is a 90-minute workshop open to everyone, and the feedback received has been phenomenal. You can read some of the success stories to find out more about how the workshop has helped the people who have participated in it. To learn more, visit: g.co/IAmRemarkable

As of January 2023 the initiative reached 450,000 participants from 178 countries with over 4,000+ active facilitators delivering the workshop worldwide.

Attending a #IAmRemarkable workshop

As a facilitator, I host regular online workshops for #IAmRemarkable.

All workshops are free of charge. But by signing up, you commit to showing up with your camera on
and ready to participate for the whole 90 minutes.

This program is open to all gender identities and even those who don't struggle with self-promotion. You can learn a lot about how others feel, especially if you are a manager and/or hire people.

How #IAmRemarkable works

An issue to address

Many of us struggle when it comes to talking about our own accomplishments.

Cultural and gender modesty norms, as well as impostor syndrome, can prevent anyone from acknowledging their remarkable attributes and expressing their achievements.

Our goals

1. Improve the self-promotion, motivation and skills of women and underrepresented groups

2. Challenge the social perception around self-promotion

The workshop

During the 90-minute workshop, you will learn the importance of self-promotion in your personal and professional life
and be equipped with tools to develop this skill.

You will also be invited to challenge the social perception around self-promotion.

Upcoming Workshops

All workshops are interactive and involve participation in live (video) conversations.

For this reason, the number of participants is limited to ensure everyone can have a voice.

Please only register if you can commit to attending and participating on camera the entire session.
